Your loved one’s ashes are safely returned to your home in our standard container or an urn you provide.

The Memorial

Choosing online direct cremation gives your family the freedom to host a memorial or celebration of life for your loved one whenever you are ready. Rather than rushing to plan a memorial service in St. Paul days after their passing, you can take your time exploring your options and plan a celebration that is truly unique and memorable.

If you have family from out of town, you can plan around their schedule, rather than rushing them to make the services following the cremation. We’ve put together these articles to help you consider all the options available to you as you plan your loved one’s personalized memorial service.

Cost of Cremation in St. Paul, MN

More American families choose cremation over traditional burial for many reasons, including the cost difference. Traditional burial services cost anywhere from $4,000 to $20,000 depending on the provider and package options you choose.

Cremation costs range from $600 to $5,000 depending on whether you choose direct cremation services or select traditional cremation through a funeral home. Traditional funeral homes are generally more expensive, even if you choose a direct cremation option.

Direct cremation is much less expensive because you pay only for the service that you want and need. Many families must consider finances after a loved one’s passing. If you are interested in traditional burial or cremation funeral services, look for a licensed funeral operator that respects your wishes and your budget.

Not great. Not very good communication. We qualified for a grant to help cover the cost of my fathers cremation and because no one actually answers the phone when you call, the County hasn’t been able to verify with Tulip the cost of the services and where they can wire the money to. And that is frustrating! I told my advisor specifically when they called and initially wanted payment from me, that we had qualified for a grant from the County. I asked her (Sam) how that will work and she told me that they will just reimburse me for whatever the grant covers. Now, after paying for the services in full, I have called and emailed my advisor several times with little or no response. This whole situation is difficult enough without this extra stress. Part 2: I wanted to share my experience after finally getting everything squared away with my dad’s cremation. Yes , it took months, but you should hear the rest of the story. I changed my review from (1) star to a (5) star review. Here’s why. It’s true that communication was lacking but it wasn’t only on Tulip’s end it was mainly because the County that offered us the grant absolutely never answers the phone when you call. Sam (my first advisor) turned out to be an amazing help with getting this taken care of. Right up until she left on maternity leave she worked with me to get what the county needed to approve the payment reimbursement. She never quit working on my case. I really appreciate the help from Sam as well as the advisor who took over for her Sarah, both did a very excellent job, patiently helping me work through the red tape. There was allot of it! It was an extremely stressful time so I am very grateful for both Sam and Sarah’s help. I wholeheartedly recommend this company! -Lance

I highly recommend them. Unfortunately had to use Tulip twice in 9 months. Both experiences went flawlessly. They kept me updated throughout the entire process and always asked if there was anything else they could do. The price is almost half of what you would pay locally and they are using the same crematorium! I just hope I don't have to use them again any time soon!

We discovered Tulip Cremation a few weeks before my father passed from cancer. They were kind and helpful. When dad passed in our home under hospice care, the folks who came from Tulip were prompt and understanding. They asked what music dad liked and said they would play that on the way to the funeral home.

I found them to be kind, caring and thoughtful. They arrived at the time they were scheduled to be here and they treated my husband gently and carefully. His remains were returned to me in just a short time. Then they followed up with me to check if there was something else they could do for me. I appreciated that.
